Help with DIT study schedule for step 1.
I was contemplating on buying the 'advising/study calendar' options from DIT, but I figured I would give reddit a shot first. Not to be cheap about it, but I think I'm just looking for some general tips as opposed to a day-by-day analysis like they're offering.
My resources: DIT, FA, Pathoma, World
I have 3 weeks of dedicated study time after my last set of exams
Luckily, I've seen about 3/4 of Pathoma (multiple times) and have skimmed a good chunk of First Aid to supplement my classes. We're sort of organ-system based, so I'll probably do the same with the remaining systems in 2nd year. I also have USMLE-Rx Qbank to help with classes (I don't plan on using this as much for Step 1 stuff, since I have UWorld).
About how long does the DIT part 1 videos take? I plan on using this as my official 'first pass' of FA. Keep in mind, I'm pretty familiar with FA already, probably at least skimming each section, and reading each organ system that I've already covered in 2nd year.
Should I start earlier or later on U-world questions? I've heard that you should take multiple passes through U world, but I've also heard that it's not as useful until you have a better grasp of FA.
Should I try and do the DIT part 2 review during my dedicated time (3 weeks)? DIT recommends this, but I've heard that it might be useful to spend that time with other resources.
Has anyone gotten advising from DIT? Is it worth it?
