We have an issue with on-premise Lync 2013 (Skype for Business Clients) authenticating with Exchange Online.
When launching the Lync client, the user is asked for password in order to authenticate with Exchange Online. This is suppressed if the user ticks the 'always remember password' box - however this is not a real-world solution as the issue comes back when the user updates their password.
If I look up the configuration information of Skype for Business, it displays this error under MAPI-information:
'A separate sign in was required to connect to Outlook, but the sign in dialog was canceled or closed, or your Exchange server may be unavailable. Log of Skype for Business, and login again to establish a connection.' <--- is this relevant??
This is the biggest issue we have with our Exchange Online implementation and its holding us back from rolling out to the rest of our organization.
For the record we are running 32-bit Office 2013 on 64-bit Windows 8.
